Infection treating caused by certain bacterias. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
It is an antibiotic. It works by killing sensitive of any bacteria.
DO NTO USE DAPTOMYCIN IF:
you are allergic to any ingredients in daptomycin

Before using Lipopeptides-

if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other
if you have muscle problems, nerve, liver, kidney, or bowel problems caused by antibiotic use
Some medicines may interct with daptomycin. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any others medicine, specially any of the following:
HMG - COA reductase inhibitors (E.G, atorvastatin) or warfarin because the risk of their side effects may be increased by the Lipopeptides.
Tobramycin because of effectiveness may be decreased by Lipopeptides
This may not be a completable list of all interaction that may occur. If daptomycin may interact with other medicines that you accept you can ask your health care provider.You can Check with your health care provider when you 'll start, stop, or replaces the dose of any medicine.
HOW TO USE DAPTOMYCIN:
Use daptomycin as directed by the doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dossing instructions.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
Daptomycin may causes dizzines. If you take it with alcohol or certain medicines,this effect may be worse . Use daptomycin with caution. Do not drive and perform others possibly unsafe task until you know how you react to daptomycin.
Daptomycin only works against bacteria and it does not treats viral infections (E.G, the Common cold).
Mild diarrhea is a common with antibiotic use. However, serious form of dIARRHEA may rarely occur. While you use the antibiotic or within several months after you stop using it,This may develop . Contact your doctor for right away if stomach pain or cramps, bloody stools occur, or severe diarrhea. Without first checking, do not treat diarrhea
If you do not, the medicine may not be clear up for your infection completely, be sure to use daptomycin for the full course of the treatment. To this or other drugs,the bacteria could also become less sensitive. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future also.
Use of daptomycin may cause a second infection for long-term or repeated. If signs of a second infection occur Tell your doctor . Your medicine may need to be changed to treat of this.
Eosinophilic pneumonia, a rare or serious condition, has been reported with the use of Daptomycin. If you experience new or worsening fever, cough, shortness of breath, or trouble breathing, contact your doctor right away. Discuss any questions and concerns with your doctor.
Daptomycin may interfere with the certain lab tests, including the PT/INR blood test. Be sure with your doctor and lab personnel know you are using it.
